Production Equipment & Processes

Delivering precision-engineered steel structures, advanced fabrication solutions, and reliable project support for industrial and commercial construction.
Processes Steps

CNC Shearing (Guillotine) Blanking:

The facility utilizes heavy-duty hydraulic CNC guillotine shears to perform “blanking.” This machinery uses a high-pressure shearing action to cut large steel plates into exact rectangular dimensions. The CNC interface automatically calibrates blade gaps and back-gauge settings to match material thickness, ensuring perfectly straight, burr-free edges for every piece.

CNC 3D Plate Drilling

To ensure flawless on-site assembly, GEOSTEEL employs 3D plate drilling machinery. Unlike standard drills, these units use multi-axis spindles to create bolt holes, countersinks, and taps with extreme depth precision. This technology guarantees that connection plates and gussets align perfectly with their mating members, eliminating the need for manual corrections in the field.

CNC Fiber Laser Cutting

For components requiring intricate shapes or high-speed production, the facility utilizes fiber laser cutting technology. This machinery focuses a high-density light beam to vaporize steel, offering a narrow kerf (cut width) and a minimal heat-affected zone. This preserves the metallurgical integrity of the steel while achieving tolerances that exceed traditional mechanical cutting.

Semi-Automatic Assembly Machine

This specialized equipment acts as the structural “jig” for the facility. It uses hydraulic clamping systems to mechanically center and align web and flange plates into the correct H-beam or Ibeam profile. Once the geometry is squared, the machine applies precise tack welds, ensuring the beam remains perfectly “true” and free of internal stresses before final welding.

Automatic Submerged Arc Welding (SAW):

For high-strength longitudinal joints, the company utilizes Automatic Submerged Arc Welding. This machinery feeds a continuous wire electrode beneath a blanket of granular flux, which protects the weld pool from atmospheric contamination. The result is a deep-penetration, high-quality weld that consistently meets AWS D1 .1 and AISC standards for structural loadbearing applications.

Precision Adjustment Equipment for Steel Structures

To counteract the natural heat-induced distortion that occurs during heavy welding. The machine has hydraulic straightening and adjustment machinery. This equipment uses massive rollers and targeted pressure to correct any bowing or camber issues, restoring the structural members to their specified linear tolerances.

Assembly

Expert welders carry out the precise final fitting and alignment of all auxiliary components, including stiffeners, base plates and connection brackets. In this step, all parts are accurately positioned and clamped strictly in accordance with the dimensions, markings and detailed requirements of the engineering blueprints, to guarantee perfect positional accuracy and create a solid, correct foundation before welding work begins.

Manual Welding

After the assembly and positioning work is fully completed, skilled professional welders perform full manual welding operations.Through high-standard manual welding, the assembled stiffeners, base plates, connecting brackets and other accessories are permanently and firmly fused together with the main structural members. This process fully realizes all detailed design requirements from the engineering drawings, and ensures the overall structural strength, stability and long-term reliability of the finished product.

Slag Removal and Descaling

Following the welding phase, specialized tools are used to remove any residual welding slag or spatter. This cleaning function ensures a smooth surface finish and prevents the formation of corrosion pockets beneath the paint layers.

Automatic Shot Blasting Machine

The company utilizes high-velocity shot blasting to prepare steel surfaces for coating. The machine propels steel grit at the fabricated members to remove mill scale, rust, and contaminants. This process achieves a “near-white metal” finish, creating a specific surface anchor profile that is essential for the maximum adhesion of industrial paints.

Painting & Coating

The facility utilizes industrial paint compressors to apply a high-durability coating system. The process begins with an application of Red Oxide Primer, which provides an essential anticorrosive base layer that chemically protects the steel from oxidation. This is followed by a TopCoat, providing a professional finish and an additional weather-resistant barrier. The use of pressurized compressor systems ensures a uniform, consistent thickness across all complex surfaces and joints.

Loading

Utilizing heavy-capacity German European Standard of Overhead cranes, the finished steel is carefully inventoried and loaded. Workshop is specialized loading protocols, using padded dunnage and secure bundling to protect the finished coatings, ensuring that the structural steel arrives at the client’s site ready for immediate erection.
